Child & Adolescent

  • The initial meeting is 75 minutes in duration. During this meeting, Dr. Voleti will meet with both the parent and child independently and then together. At the end of the evaluation she will collaboratively discuss treatment goals and formulate an individualized treatment plan. In some cases, more than one meeting is needed to determine an appropriate treatment plan. There may be times when Dr. Voleti has to work collaboratively with outside service providers, such as pediatricians, schools and other behavioral health professionals in order to determine the best plan for treatment and to monitor treatment progress.

  • Medication is not always indicated however, in many cases, medication can be effective in helping achieve treatment goals. After the initial evaluation process, Dr. Voleti will formulate an individualized treatment plan which may involve medication management, talk therapy, or a combination of the two.

  • Dr. Voleti has years of clinical experience in various modalities of talk therapy including psycho-dynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma focused therapy, supportive psychotherapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy. Individual therapy sessions are 45 minutes long and scheduled at least once a week. Dr. Voleti utilizes her breadth of experience in these various therapeutic modalities to meet each individual's goals.

  • At times Parents may benefit from meeting with Dr. Voleti independently to discuss their child’s needs. Meetings with parents can help foster a safe space for open discussion and treatment planning for their children. Parent Consultations are typically 45 minutes in length.

  • Family Therapy sessions are weekly 60 minute meetings. The goal of family therapy is to improve family functioning through identifying complex issues contributing to conflict between family members.

  • Parent Management Training is a specific therapeutic modality utilized to help parents handle challenging behavioral issues with their child. During these sessions parents will learn skills to help minimize maladaptive behaviors at home and increase desired behaviors. These are weekly 60 minute sessions held with either parents and child together or parents independently.

Adult

  • Couples therapy sessions are weekly 60 minute meetings. The goal of couples therapy is to enhance the quality of intimate relationships through fostering open and honest communication.
